Tomorrow is K'wei's 17th Birthday :)
Baobao, Serene &I decided to come up with a pressie to give him, which is his birthday cake we baked ourselves; Strawberry Jelly Cheese Cake. This is my first attempt of baking cake, BUT fret not, Serene is a cake/pastries baking expert so this time Kwei's birthday cake wont be failure like the cookies I had baked previously. *roll eyes*

P.S:
I dare to blog this post because I know he seldom read our blog, or he doesnt even read it.

We even woke up very early to get the fresh ingredients for cake. There are Strawberries, butter, cheese cream, jelly powder and biscuits for the cheese cake base. Firsrly, we have to break the biscuits into small pieces. Im the one who did it.
While Serene melted the butter. As for Baobao... you all wondering.
She was playing computer all along..

And we mixed the butter with the buscuits bit together, as to make the cheese cake base firm and hard.

And I didnt know baking a cheese cake just have to put them into fridge and froze it, silly me. A simple job, i should say.
While waiting... Serene served us almond Jelly and the cookies that she made.

Just look at the cookies she baked, and compared it to the cookies I made. A big difference, i know. ): Just give me time, and I will improve the appearances on my cookies!
After that, we melted the orange jelly powder tgt with the cheese cream. Actually do you know that cheese cake is consists of a little bit lemon jelly powder? Yeah, but we could not find the lemon jelly powder so we replaced it to orange one instead.

Though the colour and taste got affected by the orange jelly powder but it still taste nice, I promise.
So while waiting for the cheese cream mix and the biscuit base get frozen, Baobao then finally joined us to help to cut the strawberries for the decoration.
She even managed to cut them into heart shape strawberries, good job!
After placing the decorations up, we then created another jelly base on top of the strawberries.
Curious how the result looks like? Tomorrow I will then post up a picture of the result of Kwei's birthday cake we made, :)

We even made up a homemade chocolate fondue, it's pretty easy if you have this packet of chocolate chips from Hershey. It can be bought at Fairprice. :)
You just have to do, is melted the chocolate chips by steaming it. Remember not to add in water on the chocolate chips or else it wont melt.
And just after few minutes, *tadaa*
All you have to do is, just dip the strawberry into the chocolate and you can taste the home-made and economy heaven.
Yummy, no regrets!
Why not ?
